Security Settings Overview

Your unique security settings determine the actions and data your users can perform and view in agrē. Each company has unique job roles and security settings; therefore, this chapter provides you with general information about how security works in agrē so you can set up your unique security settings.

Before you begin, take a moment to think about the various job roles at your company. For example, AP clerk, AR clerk, Administrative Assistant. Now, think about the type of information you want employees in those job roles to have access to in agrē. For example, an Administrative Assistant may have access to your company’s Accounts Receivable but not your General Ledger. Once you have a general idea of the security settings you want for your employees, you can then specify them in agrē.

To set up your security settings, you must create location profiles, roles, and users. The following overviews are important to read before beginning.
