Removing Projects

Removing projects deletes the entire project from the database. To remove an existing project, it cannot be in use; therefore, the project cannot be removed if any of the following conditions exist:

The project is the default project for an account (in the GL Chart of Accounts).

The project is in use in a journal entry.

The project is in use by a recurring journal entry.

The project has budget amounts entered for it.

 

To remove a project

Navigate to General Ledger > Manage > Projects.
The Manage Projects window opens.

From the Description column, select the project to remove.

Click Remove Project.

Note

If the Remove Project button is not available, the project that you selected is in use and cannot be removed. Consider deactivating it instead.

Click Yes to confirm the removal.
The project is removed.

Click Save.
