Product groups are optionally used to aggregate products of similar types (e.g. dry fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, bagged fertilizer, NH3) into more generic groups (e.g. fertilizer).

Use the Manage Product Groups window to add (or edit, activate or deactivate, and remove) product groups, then head over to the Manage Product Types window to add product types to Product Groups.
After you've created Product Groups, edit Product Types to indicate which group each type belongs to.
