You can delete GL accounts that you’ve created; however, GL accounts cannot be deleted if the account:
was used in a journal entry
is designated as an integration account
is part of a recurring journal entry
has budget figures entered
has a non-zero current balance
is a supplier's Default GL Account for Non-Inventory Purchases
If any of the above conditions exists the Delete function is not available, but the GL account may be deactivated.
To delete a GL account
Navigate
to General Ledger > Manage
> Chart of Accounts.
The Manage Chart of Accounts window opens.
From the Chart of Accounts list, select the account to delete and then click Delete.
Caution
Once you have deleted an account, you cannot recover it.
Note
If the Delete button is not available, the account you selected cannot be deleted. Consider deactivating the account instead.
Click
Yes to confirm the deletion.
The GL account is deleted.
