A key advantage of the agrē Agronomy module is the ability to track and report on the products and services that were applied to each field without needing to rekey any information. Because you’re using agrē as your point-of-sale software, you’ve already recorded all the products a customer has purchased.
The Product Distribution tool lists all the products and services taken and allows you to allocate them to particular fields.
Tip
Edit the customer's current Crop Plan with a click of the button on the Product Distribution toolbar.
What you'll find:
You can distribute products to a field directly on a Loadout Ticket or an Invoice by selecting the customer field when adding a product to either of those documents.
Blends can be distributed on the fly from the Calculation tab on the Make a Blend window.
Caution
Loadout
Ticket & Invoice
Returns will NOT affect Product Distribution!
You will need to deallocate those products
manually.
After the fact there are two ways to “match up” how much of each product was applied to which field:
by
Transactions
Use this method when you know that products from a particular transaction
were applied to a certain field.
For example, you know that
the product on LOT1234 was sprayed on Field XYZ.
by
Fields
Use this method when you know how much of a product was applied to
a field and it doesn’t matter which loadout ticket or invoice the
product was on.
For example, you know how much
NH3 was applied to Field XYZ but you’re
not going to worry about matching up quantities from any particular
LOT or Invoice because it’s the total amount applied that matters,
not where it came from.
To distribute a customer’s products among
their fields:
* indicates
a required field
Navigate
to Agronomy > Product Distribution.
The Product Distribution window opens.
Select the Customer*.
If
needed, change the Start Date and/or
End Date to encompass the entire growing
season.
The date range defaults from one month ago up until today.
Note
Dates relate to when the product or service was taken (on either a LOT or Invoice).
Specify a Product Type if you don’t want to distribute all products at once.
Click
Retrieve.
All inventory, non-inventory, and blend products taken that meet the
search criteria are listed in alphabetical order summarized by product/unit
type combination.
Any product already distributed to a field will be indicated (but the
distribution can be edited).
Select
a product and click Distribute.
The Distribute Products to Fields window
opens. The default distribution method is by
Transactions.
The top grid lists all the customer’s transactions (LOTs or Invoices)
involving that product. The bottom grid shows all the customer’s active
farm fields.
Note
The difference between the two distribution methods is that when distributing by Transactions, the Transaction Quantity field can be edited. When distributing by Fields the Transaction Quantity cannot be edited.
Used when you know that product from a particular load was applied to certain fields.
to distribute products by Transactions:
Enter
quantities by Transactions
is the default.
When you distribute product by Transactions, you apply from
the Transactions list to
the Field list.
Check
Apply next to each applicable transaction.
The Quantity defaults to the Quantity
Available, but can be changed.
Note
You can distribute less than the Quantity Available (which is how much quantity the customer has taken), but not more.
Check Apply next to the fields the product was applied to.
If the product will be distributed in equal proportions to the selected fields, click Distribute and agrē will do the math for you.
If the product wasn’t applied proportionately, manually specify the Field Quantity that was applied to each field.
Click
Save to save your changes.
The Distribute Products to Fields window
closes.
Used when you know how much product was applied to fields, but it doesn’t matter which from which load.
to distribute products by Fields
Click
the Fields radio button.
When you distribute product by Fields,
you apply from the Field
list to the Transactions
list.
Check Apply next to the appropriate field(s) and type in the Quantity that was applied to each field.
Note
You can distribute less than the Quantity Available (which is how much quantity the customer has taken), but not more.
Click
Distribute.
agrē will take units starting from the oldest transaction to the most
recent and distribute them to the field(s) you selected.
optional You could check Apply next to a specific transaction (or multiple transactions) and agrē will distribute the quantity from that transaction to the fields you selected.
The Insufficient Quantity window opens if you typed in a Total Fields quantity that is greater than the Totals Quantity from the transactions that you checked.
Click OK to clear the warning.
You will need to either:
clear all the checked Apply Transactions boxes and let agrē decide where to take the product from,
or
check Apply next to additional transactions to draw from until the quantity equals or is greater than the Total Fields quantity you typed
If you need to “undistribute” a product so that you can apply it to a different field, you can edit and remove the current distribution.

to Agronomy > Product Distribution.
The Product Distribution window opens.
Select the Customer*.
If
needed, change the Start Date and/or
End Date to encompass the entire growing
season.

Optionally specify a Product Type to shorten the results list.
